The Mafico Leadership Renewal Institute (MLRI) is passionate about instilling biblical lessons on rest, self-care, and spiritual renewal for effective service in church leadership. Dr. Mafico, in collaboration with other specialists in biblical scholarship, psychology, and pastoral care and counseling, aims to demonstrate that by regularly escaping “to the other side to rest a while” (Mark 6:31), pastors will remain energetic by avoiding stress and burnout. The MLRI emphasizes the benefits of rest acquired by living a balanced lifestyle that integrates work, exercise, and eating right, traits that the Bible teaches. The MLRI achieves its objectives by offering Bible Study for Mature Minds and leading pilgrimages for rest, spiritual renewal, and cultural immersion. It also provides activities that help rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit.

Pilgrims who actively participate in the trip activities fulfill the requirements to earn 2-4 CEUs.
